Abstract:The introduction and the successful manufacture of cloisonné enameled ceramics may be dated between the 55th and the 59th year (1716-1720) of Emperor Kangxi's reign. During those five years, cloisonné enameled ceramic wares were made at the same time in Jingdezhen, Yixing and the Qing Dynasty Imperial Cloisonné Workshop in Beijing. Famille rose (fencai) porcelain manufactured in Emperor Kangxi's reign by the Imperial Porcelain Plant in Jingdezhen was presented to the imperial court as a product of the effort to develop cloisonné enameled porcelain.
