Abstract: A preliminery investigation has been done to the development situation, ceramic making and the era characteristics of ves-sels of Jingdezhen commercial kiln wares in the 15^th century through comparative analysis of some major dated funeral objects,ancient kiln sites , historical documents and related vessels from the oficial kilns . An exploration is done to the related questions coneerming the  “Enigma of the 15^th century” in ceramic history.
