The Influence of CaO－MnO2 Fused Mineralizer on the Oxidizing Kinetics of Kiln Furniture Bonded with Fine Silicon Powder

Abstract: Add CaO－MnO2 mineralizer to the SiC kiln furniture bonded with fine silicon powder can reduce the oxidation degree dramatically. The results show that it is wrong to use Genstleng equation to characterize the oxidation of SiC kiln furniture‚but an empirical equation is suitable to characterize such oxidation. When the amount for CaO－MnO2 mineralizer to be added was 3.0％‚the oxidizing kinetic equation was:G＝5.23×10-4τ0.76 under the temperature of 1100℃ and G＝1.26×10-2τ0.42 under the temperatue of 1300℃.
