Abstract: In this paper, a main application of stone-powder in glass--ceramics was investigated. The results showed: When less than 2mol% Fe2O3was introduced into glass, the crystallization parameter of glass--ceramics was possibly increased, and almost all the samples· temperature range from Tp to Tg overlapped partly, that means glass samples can be crystallized at the same temperature. When more than 2mol% Fe2O3 was introduced into glass, the crystallization parameter was decreased, and the temperature range from Tp to Tg was narrowed, that indicated the crystallization capability of glass was increased. In addition, added Fe2O3 content has not distinct impact on the main crystalline phases of glass--ceramics, and crystallization time can be greatly decreased by using micro-powder to prepare glass--ceramics. The above results were quite useful for the further application of stone-power.
