Abstract: Whisker is a kind of reinforced material, the application in reinforcing compos ite has become an important embranchment in the field of compos ite because of its excellent properties . Some common whiskers were introduced in this article, the new whiskers , such as zinc oxide whiskers ,potas s ium titanate whiskers , aluminum borate whiskers and so on,their methods of preparation 、micros tructure and performance and application were reviewed.
