Abstract: The dispersion behavior of sepiolite suspension system was inves tigated by the sedimentation test 、Zeta potential and the viscosity test.It is showed that the cathonic dispersant SDBS is efficient and at the pH=11、the concentration of 0.8wt% being optimization,and its main action is to increase the electros tatic force and the s teric force and decrease the Vander Waals force due to adsorption dispersants.The adsorption isothermal of SDBS in sepiolite suspens ion is fit for the Langmuir model.
