Abstract: N- doped TiO2 photocatalysts were prepared by mixing tetrabutyl titanate with urea in ethanol, then calcined in air atmosphere at different temperatures . The photocatalys ts were characterized by TEM and XRD and their photocatalytic activities under visible-light irradiation were also inves tigated. The results indicated that, the samples had anatase crystal structure when calcining temperature is between 400℃ and 600℃, and it began to trans form to rutile at 700℃. About 3% nitrogen atom was doped into TiO2 lattice in the form of chemical bond, and the doped content of N decreased s lightly with the calcined temperature increas ing. The calcined sample at 600℃ has the bes t photocatalytic activities in the degradation of methylence blue under visible-light wavelength above 400 nm, and photocatalytic results showed that over 80% methylence blue could be degraded after 4 hours reaction.
