Abstract:Yaozhou ware, one of the most famous porcelain wares from ancient Northern China, is renowned for its ingenious decoration. It has diversified motifs, and the composition of each motif varies with both the ware shape and the decoration technique. Decorative patterns of different types in different styles are either used in a composition alone or in combination.Varied dynamic decoration designs composed of patterns arranged in shape-fitting or continuous modes or organized into separate panels. Their distinctive compositions enhance the artistry of the decorations for Yaozhou ware.
