Abstract:As time goes by, there's an increasing tendency in the demand for enamel -painted Jingdezhen ceramic plaques for outdoor decoration, household collection, indoor wall decoration, etc. This paper takes an insight into the function, aesthetics and artistry of current Jingdezhen ceramic paintings as plaque insets. It also predicts the future direction of the art in correspondence to the requirements of Chinese traditional mounting techniques.
