Dispersion Mechanism of Dispersant PAA On BaTiO3

Abstract: Dispersion mechanism of dispersant PAA on BaTiO3 was investigated by sedimentation analysis and FT-IR spectrum.Theresults show that anionic dispersants are mainly attracted by the positive electric centers of Ba-OH2 + on the surface of BaTiO3 particals in basic condition. BaTiO3 was dispersed by the static electricity stabilization and spatial steric hindrance function. When pH equals 10, the concentration of  PAA is 0.3wt%, PAA is total ionization, the absorption comes up to saturation and stabilized BaTiO3 suspension can be obtained.
