Abstract: Triethylamine modified TiO2 was synthesized at room temperature by doping different amounts of triethylamine as modification into the TiO2 sols which were prepared through sol-gel method using tetrabutyl titanate as precursor. The TiO2 films prepared by the dip-coating for thrice used the sols above. Then we used these TiO2 films to decompose Rhodamine B solution under visible light. Characterization by XRD and UV-vis found that the TiO2 modified by triethylamine was anatase crystalline and had visible photocatalytic activity; further more, after being used several times the TiO2 still had a stable photocatalytic ability under visible light.
