Abstract: By impregnation and reduction process, using H2PtCl6 solution as material and Vulcan XC-72R carbon as a carrier,different C/Pt activators were prepared. TEM results show, the 50% C/Pt activator is best. With the 50% C/Pt activator and the Nafin membrane carriers modified and unmodified by proton exchange, the electrochemical CO sensors in the fuel battery style were prepared. Research results show: the sensor with membrane modified by proton exchange is more powerful than the one with membrane unmodified; the electrochemical CO sensor in the fuel battery style can be effective in detecting the toxic CO and excels in resolving the liquid leaking and the circuit board eroding.
