Abstract: CdSnO3 nanoparticles were prepared by a chemical co-precipitation synthesis method, in which the preparation conditions were carefully controlled. The n-type gas-sensing semiconductors were obtained from the as-synthesized powders calcined at 600℃ for 1h. The phase and microstructure of the obtained nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). CdSnO3 has a small particle size of about 100 nm with cubic shape. The gas sensors fabricated by CdSnO3 nanoparticles had good sensitivity and selectivity to C2H5OH vapor, the value of gas sensitivity to 100 ppm C2H5OH gas can reach 11.2 times.
