Abstract: The effects of sintering and annealing temperatures,additive contents,particle sizes,volume fraction of nanoparticles and preparing methods on microstructure and toughening mechanics were reviewed.The toughening mechanism  of nanocomposite ceramics different from that of traditional ceramics was discussed.
