Abstract: Modified starches are widely used in various industries because of its good properties,low cost,non-pollution,environmental-friendliness and so on. The current status of researches on several modified starches used in ceramics and the application of modified starches as adhesive,dispersant,and pore-forming agents for ceramics are briefly summarized in this paper.Then,the future development directions and prospects are explored.
