Abstract:Foam glass-ceramic is prepared through sintering method from fly ash. The results show that the most appropriate foaming agent is carbonate and the optimum content is 5%. The most optimal conditions of heat treatment are determined by orthogonal experiment. The most optimal foaming temperature, heating rate and holding time are 1025°C, 14°C/min and 30min, respectively. The microstructure and crystallization phase of the foam glass-ceramic are studied by means of XRD and SEM. The primary crystallization phase is anorthite and the sub-phase is augite. The performances of the prepared foam glass-ceramic are better than foam glass and clay brick.
