Preparation of MnO2-ZnO-SiO2 Crystalline Glaze

Abstract:MnO2-ZnO-SiO2 crystalline glaze was prepared by adding MnO2 into the willemite crystalline glaze. The effects of the batch formula and firing system on the glaze were studied. The results show that a fine reddish brown crystalline glaze with well -grown crystals, each configured in a rodlike shape, but clustering in a fan -shaped pattern in collection, could be obtained when the glaze was doped with 10wt%~15wt% MnO2, melted at 1230℃ for 10min and re-crystallized at 1160°C for 30min.
