Abstract: Sodium niobate fine powders were successfully prepared by hydrothermal method using Nb2O5 and NaOH as raw materials at 180℃~200℃. The phase of the powers was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), the morphology and the size of crystal grain were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results indicate that NaNbO3 powders were identified to be orthorhombic structure and the unit cell parameters were a=5.569A, b=15.523A, c=5.505A. It was found that the speed of the reaction ratio was enhanced with the increasing of reaction temperature, and the size of crystal grain developed well with the increasing of reaction time.
