Study on the Leaching Treatment on Calciummagnesium- Silicate Ceramic Fiber and its Properties

Abstract: The calcium-magnesium-silicate ceramic fiber was treated with acid leaching method. The testing results show that contents of CaO and MgO decreased and that of SiO2 increased after leaching treatments. With the concentration of sulfuric acid solution between 1 -3 mol/L, the crystallization temperature was elevated and the crystallization was inhibited maintaining the properties of fibers invariantly.
