Abstract: The state of investigation on thermal shock resistance of Al₂O₃- based ceramics at home and abroad in recent years and the theories of ceramic thermal resistance were briefly described, and the progress of investigation in thermal shock resistance of Al₂O₃ - based ceramics and several approaches to improve the thermal shock resistance of Al₂O₃ - based ceramics were summarized.
