Abstract: Jingdezhen "Porcelain of the Transitional Period", the product from the commercial kilns , marks with its abrupt change in style and superb quality a remarkable transformation in folk art ceramic. This paper is to investigate into the porcelain that was made during the social upheavals at the turn from late Ming Dynasty to Early Qing Dynasty with an view to find out the economic factors contributive to this transformation in folk art ceramics .
