Abstract: B₄C ceramics have the advantage of high hardness . However, B₄C  is very difficult to sinter. In this study, we prepared the glass - ceramic frit by water quenching, and then we made the compos ite of B₄C /Alkali calcium- silicon glass-ceramic.Through the protection of N₂ atmosphere and the adjustment of the sintering process method we can improve sintering performance. The fracture toughness of composite materials can be increased to 4 . 22MPa ·m^{1 / 2} while the physical properties of B₄C  will not be reduced.
