Abstract: Golden pearlescent pigments are prepared by alkali neutralization method. The properties of golden pearlescent
pigments are analyzed by XRD patterns, SEM photographs, spectrophotometer, colour photometer and so on. Effects of FeSO4 : TiO2 mol ratio and calcining temperature of golden pearlescent pigment were investigated. Spectrophotometer experimental results demonstrated the highest reflectance in the 560~580nm range (yellow color), and the sample with the addition of FeSO4 : TiO2 (1:1) showed a satisfactory level of brightness and lightness of the obtained gold color at 850℃.
