Abstract: TiAl intermetallic is considered the most potential high-temperature construction material because of its low densities,high module, high intensity, creep resistance, oxidation resistance and fire resistance at elevated temperature after decades of study. But its low ductility and toughness at room temperature has been greatly preventing its practical use. TiAl intermetallic matrix composites reinforced the high -temperature intensity, modulus of elasticity and creep resistance with different ceramic reinforcement. The current research status of TiAl matrix ceramic composite was reviewed, and preparation techniques and properties of different TiAl matrix ceramic composites were expounded detailedly.
