Abstract: Experiment acid etching at different temperatures and for different times were carried out on the light weight white pottery from Dehua. WDXRF, SEM and XRD were used to analyze the composition, microstructure and phase composition of the light weight white pottery samples. Weathering mechanism and the main factors affecting weathering velocity of the domestic ceramic were preliminarily explored. Furthermore, it was first found that the waste light weight domestic ceramics can be weathered and degraded naturally in a short time when it is abandoned in the open air.
