Preparation of a New Kind of Artificial Polyurethane Marble by UV Curing Technology

Abstract:  A new kind of artificial polyurethane marble was developed by UV-curing technology, without any inorganic filler, such as silicon sand, using just carbon black and carbon-white as the filler and pigment. The UV curing technology simplifies thetraditional production technique, integrating the molding operation and the surface treatment into a one -step process.Polyurethaneacrylate has higher wear resistance and impact strength, and excellent optical performance and anti-oxidation effect. Carbon black and carbon white particles remarkably improved the impact strength and the shock resistance of the PUA coating, the basic properties of which were not much affected by the changing proportions of carbon black and carbon white. The PUA coating had a smooth and shiny finish, showing excellent heat- and chemical- resistance.
