Abstract: Consumerism plays an important role in art creation. Under its influence, Chinese contemporary ceramic art has become more symbolic, life-orientated and diversified in the past decades; in the meanwhile, consumerism has left on it some bad effects. In order to reshape the art, a road for its sustainable development has to be found.
