The Detection of Architectural Ceramic Decoration Based On Digital Image Processing Technology

Abstract: Computer image processing techniques such as edge detection and picture enhancement can be used to realize the detection of decorative designs on architectural ceramics in Matlab. In this study, ceramic floor tile samples were randomly selected, their decorative images were extracted, and then treated by picture edge detection and picture enhancement in order to achieve rapid detection of their pros and cons. Experimental results proved the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm, which provides a new detecting method for architectural ceramic decoration.
