Abstract:Ceramic injection molding is a forming process for products of near net sizes. It mainly includes four stages: mixing, injection, debinding, and sintering. Debinding is one of the most complex and important steps. This paper introduces in detail the degreasing principles for thermal debinding, solvent extraction debinding and catalytic debinding. The advantages and disadvantages of various techniques are introduced and compared. And the progress in research and application of these degreasing techniques are reviewed.
