Abstract: ZnO/SiOC supported photocatalyst was prepared by using polymer derived ceramic method, with hydrogen-containing polysiloxane (PHMS), vinyl silicone oil, Pt-complex compound and ZnO as the starting materials. Phase composition, microstructure and photocatalytic performance of the ZnO/SiOC supported photocatalyst were characterized by using XRD, SEM and UV-Vis, etc. It was found that the ZnO/SiOC supported photocatalyst has the optimized photocatalytic performance and highest recycling rate, when the precursor had the mass ratio of hydrogenated polymethylsiloxane (PHMS) to vinyl silicone oil to be 2:1, with 0.5wt.% Pt complex compound and 10wt.% ZnO based on PHMS mass, after pyrolysis at 800 ℃ for 60 min. The initial photocatalytic efficiency for the degradation of 10 mg/L methylene blue (MB) was 96.5% under the irradiation of high pressure mercury lamp for 150 min, while the photocatalytic efficiencies of the second and the third recycles were 92.2% and 88.3%, respectively.
