Abstract: In order to obtain the ceramics with controllable pore structure, the laminated object manufacturing was used to make the ceramic sheet with the polyethylene mesh as the skeleton. After being cut by laser into desirable shapes, the ceramic sheets were bonded by the laminating processer to get the target body. After sintering, ceramics with controllable porous architecture were obtained. Test results show that the porosity of the ceramic with controllable porous architecture can reach 65.49% and the compressive strength can reach 36.10 MPa by changing the grid structure. Moreover, as the mesh density increases, the aperture and the porosity decrease, but the bulk density and the compressive strength increase.

Key words: laminated object manufacturing; porous ceramics; controllable porous architecture
