Abstract: Oil painting, as a type of Western paintings, can fully represent an object on canvas with the covering and varnishing power of oil paints. It is lifelike, rich-colored and very dynamic. In recent years, using ceramics as the carrier, oil painting techniques are applied to ceramic decoration, creating a new visual effect, which also marks the development of a new mode of ceramic painting. Nowadays, the term "ceramic oil painting" is no longer unfamiliar, and many ceramic artists are diligently pursuing it. This paper explores the application of oil painting techniques to Jingdezhen ceramic decoration and other related techniques.
