Abstract: Effects of MnO2 (0-0.2wt.%) on structure and dielectric properties of (Zr0.8Sn0.2)Ti1+δO4+2δ (ZST, δ = -0.2-0.2) ceramics have been studied. The ZST ceramics were prepared by using the conventional solid-state reaction method. Crystalline phases and microstructures of the ZST samples were analyzed by using XRD, SEM, while their dielectric properties were characterized by using a parallel plate resonator method. Without the addition of MnO2, the ZST samples (δ≠0) contain second phases and dielectric properties of the sample with δ=0.2 is the worst. With the addition of 0.2wt.% MnO2, the dielectric properties of the ZST with δ=0.2 were greatly improved. Specifically, the Q×f value is increased to 43.63 THz from 25.40 THz and the frequency temperature coefficient is decreased to 16.8 ppm/℃ from 39.0 ppm/℃.
