Abstract: The alumina honeycomb ceramics used for sewage filtering is prepared by extrusion method. Three kinds of plasticizers were added to research how plasticizers would impact the properties of alumina ceramics. The best proportion of solid phase and liquid phase in the extruded-pug and the influence of sintering temperature were studied in this paper as well. The results show that MC10000 is the optimal plasticizer to prepare alumina honeycomb ceramics. The alumina honeycomb ceramics with the porosity of 46.23%, the average pore size of 1.615 μm, the water flux of 1.95 m3·m-2·h-1 and relatively high flexural strength was prepared at 1410 ℃ with MC.
