Abstract: Mullite-based materials were in-situ prepared by using the solid waste of coal gangue and calmogastrin as the main raw materials, and aluminum fluoride, vanadium pentoxide and manganese oxide as mineralization agents. Effects of V2O5/MnO2 mass ratio on the properties of the samples were studied. The microstructure of the samples was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The experiment results showed that when the mass ratio of V2O5/MnO2 was 1:2, the bending strength of the sample reached 92.71 MPa. XRD and SEM results showed that the sample was composed of mullite as the main crystal phase and corundum as the second phase, and that the mullite phase exhibited perfect interlocking and complex network-like structure.
