Abstract: Lead-free piezoelectric ceramics, Bi1/2Na1/2Ti1-x(Mo1/3W1/3)xO3 (abbreviated as BNT-MW-100x), were fabricated by a conventional solid state reaction method. The effects of the doping of Mo and W on the microstructure and electric properties of the ceramics were investigated. The results showed that the BNT-based ceramics with Mo and W doping did not change in the crystal structure but still exhibited a pure perovskite phase with a dense structure. They had the maximum values at x=0.9%, where the Bi1/2Na1/2Ti1-x(Mo1/3W1/3)xO3 ceramics exhibited the highest piezoelectric constant of d33=108pC/N, together with the largest planar electromechanical coupling factor of 0.153.
