Abstract: Known as one of the most famous kiln in Jiangxi province during Song and Yuan Dynasties,Ganzhou Qilizhen kiln is of vital importance in the history of Chinese Ceramics. However,it mentions little about the scientific research for Qilizhen kiln in the relevant literature. The bluish white porcelain unearthed in GanZhou Qilizhen is taken as the subject in our study. After doing many tests and analyses on the chemical composition of 19 pieces of the bluish white porcelain from Ganzhou Qilizhen kiln during the southern song Dynasty by using the EDXRF.Primary discussion for the composition and process feature of the bluish white porcelain has progressed concerning the period of the Northern Song Dynasty as well as the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty and the Southern Dynasty.Compared to the local Chinese stone material it has been found that Qilizhen kiln probably brought in high-content aluminiferous clay material and began the history of two-element formula porcelain-making earlier than Jingdezhen kiln.
