Abstract: With the additives of BaSi2O5 and BSS flux, Ca permanent magnets were prepared with different technologies, using slurries of different particle sizes, the magnetic fields of different molding orientations, and different sintering processes. Then the magnetic properties of the obtained products were tested by the pressure testing machines, the permanent ferrite meters, and the buoyancy methods. Their sample phases were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, and the cross-section morphologies of the samples were observed by the scanning electron microscopes. Experimental results show: the moderate composite addition of BaSi2O5 and BSS flux promotes the uniform growth of the ferrite grains, and ameliorates the orientations, thereby significantly improving the magnetic properties of the products. If 0.4%BaSi2O5 and 0.4%BSS flux are added to sintered Ca0.5La0.5Fe10.3Co0.3O19-δ materials at the time of the fine pulverization; the average particle sizes can be controlled at 0.70 - 0.75 μm; the molding orientation of the magnetic field can be controlled at 3 times of HCJ value (i.e. 1245 kA / m); by incubating the green bodies for 2 hours at 1190 ℃, permanent magnets can be obtained with an excellent load limit, the Br at 454 mT, the HCJ at 415 kA / m, and M * at 6280.
