Abstract:This paper explores the prospects for the introduction of contemporary cera mic art into the public space in the contem- porary context. lt reveals the inherent conflict in contemporary ceramic art betwe en its attributes as a public art and its func- tion as an individualized expression as well as the necessity for its harmonization with nature and humanities.
