Abstract:Nanometer material, an emerging and rapidly growing field refer『ed to as nano-technology, has brought many excellent properties to the traditional ceramics. Preparation of nano-sized alumina powders by wet chemical methods is an important technology to improve the properties of traditional alumina ceramics. This『eview summarizes the recent progress in various synthesis methods of nano-sized alumina powders, including sol -gel method, precipitation method, hydrothermal method, and emulsion method, etc. Furthermore, the future trend of this area is also presented.
