Electric Field Distribution on Substrate of Electrospinning and Numerical Simulation Analysis

Abstract: There is great relationship the forming progress of electrospinning and the electric field’s distribution. For this feature, this paper simulate and analyze electric field of there kinds of receiving devices substrate: flat plate type, ball socket of downward concave, ball socket of downward convex. About later kinds of receiving devices the paper do modeling analysis on different radius of curvature. The results show that ball socket of downward concave which radius of curvature is 800 mm can get relatively uniform electric field and electric potential distribution. Uniform electric field distribution is beneficial for forming a relatively uniform electrospinning fiber membrane. This paper analyzes the electric field distribution of receiving devices which eccentric distance of the experimental device is different when receiving devices is downward concave and it’s radius of curvature is 800 mm.This will provide the basis for optimization of electrospinning electric field parameters .
