Ceramic Cuanpan Design Based on Local Cultural and Genetic Identity

Abstract: Cuanpan is a design model of life creation in ancient China, which has combined functionality and practicality perfectly through combination. As a daily practical vessel, it contains many connotations, including Chinese traditional food culture, creative philosophy, life aesthetics, science and technology, social fashion and so on. From the point of view of design and culture, comb the evolution of the shape of ceramic cuanpan in previous dynasties, demonstrate the relationship between people, things and environment, as well as the concrete analysis of modeling and decoration, to explore the local creative culture and design characteristics in ceramic cuanpan. At the same time, combined with the design development trend under the background of the new era, this paper reveals the reasonable factors and great significance of ceramic cuanpan in the design of contemporary life utensils. With a view to designing, broadening thinking and providing tools with national characteristics in the global market competition.
