Aesthetics of Yaozhou Kiln Ceramics in Song Dynasty from the Perspective of Life Aesthetics

Abstract: The Song Dynasty was the heyday of the development of traditional porcelain techniques. Song porcelain was simple, dignified and elegant, implicit and restrained, giving people the beauty of tranquility. Yaozhou Kiln of the Song Dynasty not only has a beautiful and generous shape, but also has pure and natural glaze color and unique carving technology. The aesthetic characteristics of Yaozhou Kiln ceramics are discussed from three aspects: “taking the nature and living with it”“appreciating both refined, popular and inclusive”“artistic life” and “artistic life”. Also, the concept of making Yaozhou Kiln ceramics was analyzed from the perspective of “objects are used” and “making objects is like”, as well as the artistic aesthetics of living.
