Abstract: This article takes an insinght into the decoration on ceramics through ages and reveals the fact that the decorative style for ceramics in the pastimes fits in well with its social cultural background and varies with the esthetic trend of the time. Thus, the design for the decoration on ceramics shouldn't cling to its old tradition, while on the contrary, it mustkeep step with the advancing society to weed through the old and bring forth the new.
