Abstract: In this paper, the possibility of wet synthesizing whitlockite by adding magnesium under the condition of neutral solution at 37'C and the effect of magnesium ions on the wet synthesizing have been discussed. The.experimental result shows that in the solution of theconcentr'ation of calcium 3~ 6 x 10-3mol and phosphorus 10~ 30 x 10 mol, magnesium ions restrain crystallizing of hydroxyapatite (HAP) from the solution, but promote crystallizing of P-TCP. The P-TCP can still keeps the crystal shape after being fired at 1200'C.
