Abstract: The laminated ceramic composite has good toughening property .Its unique structure provides a new researching subject forzthe design and preparation of ceramics, which has become the focus of research on the toughening of ceramics recently .In this paper, the different mechanisms that can be used to reinforce laminated ceramic composites were reviewed, optimum design f such composites was analyzed and preparation was concluded. Furthermore, the problems that should be further studied in laminated ceramic composites were suggested and discussed, as well as its researching direction .
