Obstract: It's believed, the thinking processes involved in the creation of contemporary ceramic artworks are more important than the techniques. Generally, thinkings made for the creation of a ceramic art piece at home and abroad fall into 17 categories, and they have all been described in this paper. In additicn，further efforts have been made to discuss each respectively with regard to the ceramic works typical of various categories.
