Abstract:The application possibility of used Glass for reducing the sintering temperature of daily -use porcelain has been researched. With appropriate amount of used glass of different particle sizes added to the body, ceramic samples have been prepared by dry -pressing and sintering from 1100℃ to 1250℃ after drying. Their sintering level and densification are analyzed by tests water absorption, physical strengths and SEM. The results show that the ceramic body with used glass not only has reduced sintering temperature but also has increased strength. The strength of the ceramic body with the addition of 9% used glass particles of 0.125mm in diameter can increase by 16.73%.
