Abstract:In this paper, low -temperature lead -free gold dust glaze was prepared by conventional process, using quartz and borax as the main raw materials, and iron oxide as a dopant. The influence of firing conditions and the thickness of glaze on crystalline performance were studied. The microstructure and thickness of glaze layer were characterized by means of SEM.The results showed that: when the glaze thickness was about 400μm, the holding time and temperature was respectively 75min. and 1040℃, a pretty brown glaze with gold dust was obtained in which the crystals were short columns.
