Abstract: Alumina powder surface charge condition and particle dispersion were investigated by measuring zeta potential and particle size of alumina powder in aqueous suspension by introducing different dispersant, such as ammonium polymethacrylie acid (Darvan C) , polyethlene imine (PEI) and diammonium citrate (DAC). The result showed that surface charge of alumina powder changes significantly and ep shifted with addition of different dispersant. Alumina powder was in single diapersed condition at far from iep while in different degree of agglomeration near iep
